Non-NHS Services

There are occasions when you may require a service from your doctor which does not come within the terms of the NHS. Your doctor is under no obligation to provide this service and is entitled to charge a fee.

All items for insurance claims, mortgage protection, and holiday insurance for a doctor to fill in are to be left with the Receptionist (NOT the doctor) making sure you have completed and signed the form.

The doctor often has to state details you have given are correct and if the form is incomplete this can lead to delays in your form being finalised.

Confirming claimant’s statements and actions can have legal consequences. You may be asked to make an appointment to see a doctor if further information is required.

The practice charges the agreed British Medical Association fees for filling in forms.

There may be a charge for other services such as, private medical certificates, completing passport forms, pre-employment certificates etc. Please ask at reception for details.
